Two Motorable Bridges in Gorkha Completed Ahead of Schedule

Pokhara. If the contract period had been waited for, the Ludikhola motorable bridge in Gorkha would have been completed by Asar 2084.

Although the construction contract was signed with Ganesh Kund Infrastructure and Builder Pvt. Ltd. to be completed within 2 years on Asar 22, 2082, the company has constructed a 60-meter long motorable bridge in 1 year and handed it over to the government.

The Infrastructure Development Office had awarded the contract for constructing a bridge over Ludikhola on the road section from Syaulee Bazaar to Manakamana for 7 crore 59 lakh rupees.

A bridge over Chuktikhola at Shera, Palungtar Municipality-9 in Gorkha has also been completed before the contract period. The construction company Amrit Construction Pvt. Ltd., which was contracted with a deadline of one and a half years on Asar 22, 2082, has completed the construction 6 months before the deadline.

The 20-meter long and 8.40-meter wide bridge has been constructed for 3 crore 42 lakh rupees. This bridge will facilitate commuting for the locals of Wards 6, 9, 10 of Palungtar Municipality and Ward 12 of Gorkha Municipality.

Gandaki Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey has inaugurated both bridges. He said that the construction of quality infrastructure ahead of time is a positive example of good governance. 'Not only on time, but constructing quality infrastructure ahead of time is our commitment to good governance and development,' he said, 'This project is the result of the coordination and efficiency of the construction entrepreneur, the Infrastructure Development Office, the technical team, and the local representatives.'

Both construction companies were also honored during the inauguration.
