Absconder in Robbery Case Arrested in Saptari

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a defendant who has been absconding for a long time in a robbery case from Ward Number-5 of Khadak Municipality in Saptari. The arrested person is Narayan Shah Teli, also known as Bhup Narayan Shah, a resident of Ward Number-5 of Khadak Municipality.

The defendant was arrested on Thursday, informed DSP Hemraj Ghimire of the District Police Office, Saptari. The Parsa District Court had sentenced him to 6 years in prison and a fine of 72,000 in May 2056 BS. Shah, who spent a few days in custody at that time, has 5 years, 11 months, and 14 days of imprisonment remaining.

A team led by Inspector Shyamamani Pokharel of the Area Police Office, Kadorbona, arrested him and presented him in court. DSP Ghimire informed that he has been sent to the Rajbiraj Prison Office by order of the court.
