Bollywood Actor Rajesh Sharma Hospitalized After Insect Bite During Prabhas Film Shoot

Mumbai. Bollywood actor Rajesh Sharma has been admitted to the hospital after an infection in his leg. He was bitten by some poisonous insect during the shooting of actor Prabhas's film at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. 

As his condition worsened, he was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, West Bengal, where he is under the supervision of doctors. His co-star Sudipa Chatterjee informed about this through a health note released on social media on behalf of the actor's family. According to doctors, Rajesh Sharma is still not out of danger. 

According to Sudipa Chatterjee's social media post, this incident happened after the shooting pack-up at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Rajesh Sharma was shooting for Prabhas's upcoming film there. 

After the shooting was over, while he was talking to local technicians in a plant-filled area near the set, some insect bit him on the leg. At that time, the matter did not seem serious, so he did not seek any medical help immediately and continued to work. 

About six hours after being bitten by the insect, Rajesh Sharma's right leg started to have severe pain and his health began to deteriorate. Even in this condition, he caught a flight to Kolkata. 

During the journey, he developed a high fever and was writhing in pain. The next day after reaching Kolkata, as his condition worsened, the family immediately took him to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria. It has been more than a day since he was admitted to the hospital. 

Hospital doctor Abhijit Bhattacharya informed that the insect's infection has spread from the toes to the knee. Large blisters have formed on the affected part. According to doctors, it is too early to say anything clearly about the situation right now. 

Doctors are concerned that blood clots may form due to the infection. Doctors say that if this clot reaches the lungs, it could be life-threatening. 

Rajesh Sharma was recently seen in the films 'Bhoot Bangla' and 'Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart'. Meanwhile, actor Prabhas is currently busy shooting for director Hanu Raghavapudi's film 'Fauji' and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film 'Spirit'.
