Nepal Stock Exchange CEO Chudi Mani Chapagain Resigns

Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chudamani Chapagain has resigned from his post.

CEO Chapagain submitted his resignation to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on Monday morning. Chapagain has resigned from his post before completing his term. He informed Ratopati that he submitted his resignation to the Finance Minister by reaching the Ministry of Finance in the morning. He stated that he resigned for personal reasons and not due to government pressure or any other issue. 

Chapagain was appointed as the CEO of NEPSE by a cabinet decision in Chaitra 2081. Even though the government had canceled previous appointments through an ordinance, he remained.  

He resigned from the post shortly after his appointment. Now the Ministry of Finance will have to move forward with the process of appointing a new CEO.
