8 Universities Finalize 3 Nominees Each for Vice-Chancellor Posts

Kathmandu. 3 names each have been finalized for the posts of Vice-Chancellor of 8 universities. The selection and recommendation committee of the university Vice-Chancellors has finalized the names of 3 each.

Joint Secretary of the Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Shriprasad Bhattarai, informed that the names of 3 proposed Vice-Chancellors each have been finalized. According to the Ministry of Education source, 3 names each have been finalized for the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, Agriculture and Forestry University, Pokhara University, Purbanchal University, Lumbini Buddhist University, Mid-Western University, Far-Western University, and Rajarshi Janak University.

These names will be recommended by the committee to the Chancellor, and the Chancellor will make a decision to appoint one person each to the Vice-Chancellor of each university. Accordingly, the ministry source said that the appointment is being prepared by completing the process soon. Prime Minister Balen Shah is the Chancellor of most universities. The names were recommended after the interview and presentation of the candidates who applied for the post of Vice-Chancellor.
