Nepal Telecom Launches Auto-Renewable Prepaid Packages

Kathmandu. Nepal Telecom has launched a subscription-based package that automatically renews monthly for prepaid mobile users. 

Under this new system, customers will now be freed from the hassle of activating (subscribing) the package themselves every month. According to Telecom, once the package is activated, it will automatically renew every month based on the balance available in the customer's mobile.

Telecom has introduced three types of attractive packages with a validity period of 30 days under this scheme. The 'Namaste Recurring 299' pack for Rs 299 will include 300 minutes of all-net voice, 4 GB data, 2 GB night data, and 20 on-net SMS. Similarly, the Rs 499 package will provide 500 minutes of all-net voice, 8 GB data, 4 GB night data, and 100 all-net SMS, the company said.

The largest package, 'Namaste Recurring 799' for Rs 799, will allow customers to have unlimited talk time on all networks. In addition, 10 GB of data per day, totaling 300 GB of data for the month, and 300 all-net SMS will also be available.

For customers using these packages who require additional data, the company has also arranged for affordable 'add-on' packages. Under these, 1 GB can be obtained for Rs 30, 2 GB for Rs 50, and 4 GB for Rs 99. According to Telecom's spokesperson Dr. Kamal Lamichhane, customers can purchase these services by dialing *1415# from their mobile and following the instructions.

The company believes this new facility will make it easier for customers to continuously receive quality service at an affordable rate.
