Laborer Dies in Tipper Accident at Myagdi Khola Hydropower Project

Myagdi. A laborer died this morning after being hit by a tipper in the Myagdi Khola Hydropower Project area in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4, Ratakhola, of the district. According to the District Police Office, the tipper with registration number BAPRA 01-004 Ka 1377 hit a pedestrian laborer while reversing in the project area.

Bhim Bahadur Sarki, 35, a resident of Laljhadi Rural Municipality-4, Kanchanpur, was seriously injured in the accident. He was brought to Provincial Hospital Beni for treatment, where doctors declared him dead, informed Sagar Timilsina, Inspector at the District Police Office.

Police have taken Rajesh Ghale, 30, a resident of Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-3, Makwanpur, the tipper driver, under control. The body of Sarki has been sent to Dhaulagiri Hospital, Baglung, for post-mortem, informed the District Police Office, Myagdi.
