Nepali Embassy Urges Investment in Nepal's Advantageous Sectors

Washington DC. The Nepali Embassy here has urged Nepalis residing in America to invest in Nepal's comparative advantage sectors and gain returns.

In a discussion titled 'Nepali Diaspora and Nepal's Prosperity, Challenges and Opportunities in Trade, Investment and Innovation' organized by the embassy here today, Acting Ambassador Sharadraj Aryal requested the mobilization of capital for the upliftment of the motherland.

Emphasizing the need to utilize the knowledge, skills, and capital of Nepalis living abroad for Nepal's development, he urged them to invest in Nepal with confidence, as an investment-friendly environment has been created for non-resident Nepalis. Participants held a detailed discussion on the possibilities, opportunities, and challenges of investment in Nepal.

Consul General Laxman Khanal informed that high returns can be obtained from information technology, tourism, and energy sectors in Nepal, emphasizing that expatriate Nepalis should not miss the investment opportunities available in those sectors.

Entrepreneur Lok Tiwari said that Nepalis in America engaged in various professions and businesses should utilize their skills and experience for Nepal's development, suggesting that remittances received by Nepal should be invested in productive sectors.
