Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence and Potential Rainfall Across Provinces

Kathmandu. Currently, monsoon winds are influencing some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, some parts of Gandaki province, and the eastern parts of Lumbini province. The rest of the areas are partially influenced by westerly and local winds.

Due to this influence, the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country are generally cloudy. The Terai regions have partly cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall is occurring in some places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

This afternoon, the Himalayan and hilly regions, along with the Terai regions of Koshi province, will generally be cloudy. Madhesh province will have partly cloudy skies. The Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain mostly clear.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in a few places in the Terai regions of Koshi province, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. There is a possibility of heatwaves in some parts of the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and hot days in some parts of the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
