CPN (Unified Marxist-Leninist) Far-West Parliamentary Party Calls Meeting on Government Formation

Dhangadhi. The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Far-West Provincial Parliamentary Party has called a party meeting. Parliamentary party leader Khagraj Bhat has called a meeting of the Provincial Parliamentary Party at the Provincial Parliamentary Party office on Friday at 11 am. Important decisions will be made regarding the formation of the Far-West government in the meeting.

The political equation in the province has changed after Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah dismissed the ministers from the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) in the government. Immediately after that, the UML decided to withdraw its support to the government led by Chief Minister Shah. With the UML withdrawing its support, Chief Minister Shah has become a minority. He had requested the NCP for help in passing the budget. The NCP has rejected the proposal and taken a stance not to support the current government. The NCP has stated that it will not support any party, including the Nepali Congress or the UML, in forming the government until its conditions are met.
