Self-proclaimed Gen Z activist Yuvraj Khadka arrested in Salyan for cybercrime

Surkhet. Yuvraj Khadka of Salyan, who calls himself a Gen Z activist, has been arrested. Salyan police arrested Khadka, 29, a resident of Anandpur, Kumakh Rural Municipality-6, on Monday on charges of cybercrime.

According to Devraj Bhattarai, information officer at the District Police Office Salyan, Yuvraj was taken into custody from the Sailakmanda area of Sharada Municipality-4.

Police said he was absconding in an ongoing cybercrime case. Khadka had been promoting himself as a social worker on social media since the Gen Z movement last August, claiming to be working against irregularities.

Police said further investigation is underway.
