Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention's Closed Session Delayed Due to Delegate List Errors

Kathmandu. The closed session, scheduled to start at 8:30 AM today, the second day of the National Independent Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party) convention in Bharatpur, Chitwan, has not yet begun.

Leader Ganesh Parajuli informed that the closed session could not start on time because the process of correcting errors in the list of convention representatives has not been completed.

'There has been some delay according to the schedule, the closed session will start soon,' said Parajuli. It is stated that it took time to correct and verify the errors in the preliminary list of 4,000 representatives published by the Election Committee on Sunday. Convention representatives have the provision to submit applications for error correction.

The schedule includes presentations of various reports by leaders including Chairman Ravi Lamichhane in today's closed session. Among them, Ramakant Rimal from the Discipline Commission will present the report on discipline, and Treasurer Lima Adhikari is scheduled to present the financial report.

After that, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti will present the organizational report, Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya will present the 'Amendment Proposal to the Constitution' passed by the Central Committee, and Vice-Chairman Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present the 'Economic-Political Preamble' of RSP. After passing those proposals and reports, Chairman Ravi Lamichhane will present the political report.
