Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention Continues with Statute Amendments and Reports

Kathmandu. The second day of the historic first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Bharatpur, Chitwan is underway. The convention, which began on Sunday, will continue until the 9th. The closed-door session, to be conducted by the party's general secretary today, has scheduled programs including statute amendment, presentation and approval of various important reports, and the complete handover of responsibilities to the election committee. As per the published schedule, a tea break is allocated from 7 AM. Following this, at 8:30 AM, party president Rabi Lamichhane will commence the second session. Immediately after the session begins, from 8:30 AM to 8:50 AM, Ramakant Rimal from the Disciplinary Commission will present a report, followed by discussions. From 9 AM to 9:30 AM, the party's treasurer, Lima Adhikari, is scheduled to present and discuss the financial report. Subsequently, from 10 AM to 10:45 AM, party general secretary Kabindra BurlaKoti will present and discuss the organizational report. Immediately after, from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM, the important agenda is the presentation and approval of the 'Statute Amendment Proposal' passed by the central committee, by the party's joint general secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya. Following the approval of the statute amendment proposal, from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM, the party's vice-president Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present RSP's 'Economic-Political Proposal'. Immediately after, from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, party president Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to present the political report. In the time from 1:15 PM to 1:25 PM, President Lamichhane will announce the formation of the interim management committee and hand over all responsibilities from the convention organizing committee to the election commission. After the leadership and responsibility handover process is completed, a lunch break is scheduled from 1:25 PM. After lunch, the party's election commission will publish the necessary information and schedule related to the election process. All subsequent programs will proceed continuously according to the notice and schedule published by the election commission, the RSP has stated.
