Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention Begins in Bharatpur; Key Leaders to Attend

Kathmandu. Leaders from various parties will participate in the first general convention of the ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) starting today in Bharatpur, Chitwan. The RSP has stated that all parties represented in the parliament have been invited to give congratulatory remarks at the inauguration session.

However, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' will not be participating in the inauguration session of the RSP's general convention. Congress President Gagan Thapa has decided to participate in the general convention at the last moment. Central member Pradip Gyawali from UML and leader Barshaman Pun from CPN (Maoist Centre) will be participating.

Similarly, Janamat Party Chairman Dr. CK Raut and JSP Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav will also be going to Chitwan to participate in the general convention. On the other hand, leaders from the Labor Culture Party have stated that no representatives from their party will participate. Chairman Rajendra Lingden will participate from RPP.

The first general convention of the RSP is being inaugurated on Sunday, with the closed session and elections to be held on Asar 8 and 9.
