MP Ramesh Malla Warns Against Underestimating Opposition's Role, Demands PM's Statement Withdrawal

Kathmandu. CPN MP Ramesh Malla has warned not to consider the constructive role played by the opposition in the parliament as a weakness. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, he said that the Prime Minister should withdraw his statement regarding the border given in the parliament and the voice raised by the opposition on this cannot be ignored.

Moreover, he said that the Prime Minister's Office is not a place for such activities, stating that someone was called to the Prime Minister's Office, interrogated, and arrested. He drew the government's attention through the Speaker towards the fact that such incidents could lead to the tearing of democracy and the constitution.

'If the office-bearers of the constitutional commission have been called and forcibly detained, then an investigation should be conducted and the guilty should be punished,' said Malla.
