Weather Forecast: Western Low-Pressure Line Affects Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere of Nepal is affected by the western low-pressure line, local winds, and easterly winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.< /p>

Due to this influence, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, along with the plains of Gandaki and Bagmati provinces, are currently experiencing general cloudiness. The rest of the plains are mainly clear. 

This afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country will experience general cloudiness. The plains of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will have partial cloudiness.  There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. 

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the plains of Koshi province and in one or two places in Madhesh province. Some places in the plains of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience hot days. 

Tonight, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, along with the plains of Koshi province, will generally remain cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Bagmati province. 

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in one or two places in the plains of Koshi province, according to the Division.< /p>
