National Assembly Whip Criticizes Reinstatement of Home Minister Gurung

Kathmandu. Chief opposition party Nepali Congress's National Assembly whip Padam Bahadur Pariyar has commented that the reinstatement of Sudhan Gurung to the post of Home Minister is objectionable.

Speaking on an urgent occasion during the National Assembly meeting on Monday, he expressed strong anger, stating that he was reappointed Home Minister based on political setting without even making the report of the property investigation commission public.

Whip Pariyar alerted the government to immediately make public the report of the Home Minister Gurung's property investigation commission. Along with this, MP Pariyar has also pressured the government to make public the report of the National Human Rights Commission. He said that there is no reason for the government to delay in making the commissions' reports public.

Objecting to the government's move, he said in the meeting, 'Without making the report of the property investigation commission of the then Home Minister Sudhan Gurung public, without informing the house about this matter, without informing the Nepali people, he has been reinstated as Home Minister again based on a very suspicious political setting. We have realized that this is an extremely condemnable act. Therefore, I strongly demand that the report of that property investigation commission be made public immediately.'
