National Assembly Session to Discuss Budget

Kathmandu. The 18th meeting of the 21st session of the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament is convening today. The meeting, which will focus on the budget for the new fiscal year, has been scheduled for 1:15 PM on Monday, the Parliament Secretariat informed. According to Padam Prasad Pandey, Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the potential daily agenda for today's meeting has already been set. The main agenda of today's meeting appears to be focused on discussion of the budget brought by the government for the upcoming fiscal year and the response to it. As the first agenda item of the meeting, there will be a general discussion on the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2083/84, i.e., the budget. Similarly, the meeting also includes a program to respond to the discussion on the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure. After the general discussion on the budget concludes, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will respond to the questions raised in the parliament.
