Two Arrested with Over 5kg of Marijuana in Rautahat

Rautahat. Rautahat police have arrested two people with approximately 5.5 kg of marijuana. A special police team deployed from the District Police Office Rautahat took them under control with marijuana from the Gadhawa area of Gaur Municipality-4. Based on special information, the police team checked and arrested 26-year-old Rakesh Kumar Kushwaha and 24-year-old Sunil Kumar Bairwa from Gaur Municipality-4. Police said that the said marijuana was recovered when the Indian Splendor motorcycle bearing BR 05 S 6609, on which they were riding, was stopped and checked. DSP Basanta Gautam, spokesperson for the District Police Office Rautahat, informed that 5 kg 55 grams of marijuana, one mobile phone, and the motorcycle used by them were recovered from the arrested persons. Police have stated that further investigation into the incident has been initiated by taking permission for a seven-day extension from the Rautahat District Court on Sunday against both arrested individuals under the offense related to narcotics.
