Weather Forecast: Mixed Conditions Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, a combination of various weather systems is visible in Nepal's weather.< /p>

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a partial influence of the western low-pressure line in the upper atmosphere of Nepal, along with local winds and easterly winds. Due to this, diverse weather patterns are beginning to appear in different parts of the country.< /p>

Currently, there is partial cloudiness in the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country, as well as in the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. The weather in the remaining Terai regions is mainly clear. At present, a few places in the Himalayan and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and one or two places in Karnali Province are experiencing moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning, the Division stated.< /p>

Looking at Monday's weather forecast, the Himalayan region and the hilly region of Koshi Province are expected to be generally cloudy. Partial cloudiness is likely in the Terai regions of other hilly areas, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Similarly, the weather in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces will remain mainly clear.< /p>

With this change in weather, there is a possibility of rain in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with snowfall. Meteorologists state that moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning may occur not only in the hills and mountains but also in a few places in the Terai of Koshi Province and one or two places in Madhesh Province.< /p>

While there is a possibility of rain in the hilly and eastern Terai regions, the western Terai is expected to experience heat affecting daily life. According to the Division, a hot day is likely in some places in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces on Monday. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged for necessary precautions as extreme heat and hot winds may occur in these areas.< /p>
