Mustang Police Seize Illegal Goods Worth Over NPR 4 Lakh

Mustang. Mustang police have recovered illegal goods being smuggled to Pokhara, evading customs.

The goods, worth approximately NPR 435,800, were seized by the Area Police Office Lete in Thasang Rural Municipality-3 during a routine check.

According to District Police Office Inspector Ishwar Mahat, the goods were found during a check of a Mahindra Bolero jeep traveling from the Nepal-China Korala border via Jomsom towards Pokhara.

Police stated that the goods, lacking customs declarations and necessary documents, were taken into custody. The police have handed over the vehicle, driver, and the person bringing the goods to the Mustang Customs Office for necessary action.

The seized goods include shoes, slippers, jeans pants, trousers, and t-shirts. The name of the person bringing the goods has been kept confidential for investigation, police said.
