Weather Forecast: Western Low-Pressure Line, Local and Easterly Winds Affecting Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere of Nepal is under the partial influence of the western low-pressure line, local winds, and easterly winds, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. As a result, the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, are generally cloudy. The Madhesh Province has partly cloudy skies, while the Terai region of Sudurpaschim Province is mostly clear. Today afternoon, the Koshi Province and the country's hilly regions will generally be cloudy. The remaining hilly and Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the Koshi Province, a few places in the country's hilly and mountainous regions, and one or two places in the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Tonight, the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the country's hilly and mountainous regions, will have partial cloud cover. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in a few places in the Koshi Province, and light rainfall with thunderstorms in one or two places in the Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the Department stated.
