Gen Z Protest Group Demands Withdrawal of Cases Against Youth

Pokhara. While the Gandaki Province convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is underway at the Pokhara City Hall, a different scene is unfolding outside. Amidst the convention's busy schedule, the 'Gen Z Protest Issue Resolution Pressure Group' has staged a peaceful sit-in protest outside the main entrance of the City Hall. This group is protesting, demanding the withdrawal of cases filed against youths arrested during protests and seeking justice for them.

Protesters participating in the sit-in held placards with various slogans and demands. They claimed that the cases filed against the youths arrested during the protests were politically motivated. The youths, who gathered peacefully, urged the government and concerned authorities to pay serious attention and protect civil rights.

During the protest, they emphasized the importance of freedom of expression, the right to peaceful assembly, and respect for civil rights. They stated that their voices would not be silenced until the issues of the youths involved in the protest are addressed immediately. They publicly presented their demands through placards, raising strong voices in favor of justice and withdrawal of cases.

Security arrangements in the vicinity were tightened to prevent any untoward incidents during the protest. Despite the strict security, this sit-in program did not cause any obstruction to the internal activities and processes of the RSP convention.

The protesters, who appeared very firm in their demands, also issued a warning. The pressure group warned that if their demands are not heard immediately by the concerned parties and the government, they will be forced to announce more vigorous and pressure-building programs in the coming days.
