Kanchapur District Court Disposes 69.34% of Cases in FY 2082/83

Mahendranagar. Kanchanpur District Court has disposed of 69.34% of cases in the fiscal year 2082/83. The data shows that the court has made significant improvements in case disposal by making public the performance report of the fiscal year 2082/83.

In an interaction program with journalists on Friday, District Court Judge Rajendra Bhandari informed that 108 percent of the target cases were disposed of. He stated that there were a total of two thousand 208 cases, including 688 cases carried over from the previous year and one thousand 520 newly registered cases. He informed that out of the target of disposing of one thousand 411 cases, one thousand 524 cases were disposed of. "69.34 percent of the cases have been disposed of," he said. "684 cases are pending disposal."

Similarly, according to the court's data, out of a total of 30 crore 14 lakh 97 thousand 332 rupees in fine collection, five crore 13 lakh 51 thousand 907 rupees have been collected. Rs 25 crore 1 lakh 45 thousand 405 rupees are yet to be collected.

"Recently, the number of registered cases is high, and there are problems due to lack of resources accordingly," said Judge Bhandari. "If one more bench can be added to the current two benches, cases will be disposed of on time." He informed that the disposal of some cases is delayed due to the non-receipt of evidence on time.

The court has stated that despite intensifying the process of searching for absconding defendants and collecting fines and compensation for the execution of judgments, the work has not been as per the target. With significant improvement in case disposal, court employees and police personnel have become capable.
