Three Arrested for Bag Theft on Public Bus

Kathmandu. Police have arrested 3 people for stealing a passenger's bag on a public bus. Three people have been arrested on the charge of stealing a woman's bag (ladies purse) on a bus coming from Rupaa Rural Municipality 5 Deurali of Kaski to Pokhara on Thursday.

Those arrested include Guruprasad Bajgai, residing in Chandrapur Municipality 15 of Rautahat, Rabin Khadka, originally from Chandrapur Municipality 8 of the same municipality and residing in Pokhara Metropolitan City 6, and Tekbahadur Bhujel, originally from Kankai Municipality 8 of Jhapa and residing in Pokhara.

According to the police, they stole the bag of Anita Shrestha from Putalibazar Municipality 13 of Syangja, who was traveling on the bus numbered G 2 Kha 1372 coming from Deurali to Pokhara. Police have informed that the stolen bag contained 1 necklace and 2 silver rings.

The district police office Kaski has informed that the arrested individuals have been remanded for 6 days for investigation on charges of theft and robbery.
