Weather Forecast: Rain and Snow Expected in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu.  Currently, the weather in Nepal is showing a partial effect of the upper atmospheric westerly low-pressure line and local winds.  

Due to this, there is a situation of cloudy weather, rain, and snowfall in various parts of the country, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated.

Currently, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country are generally cloudy, while the Terai regions have partial cloud cover. Due to this effect, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is occurring in a few places in Koshi Province and one or two places in Gandaki Province.

According to Monday's weather forecast, Koshi Province, along with the mountainous and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and the remaining mountainous regions are expected to be generally cloudy. Similarly, there will be partial cloudiness in the hilly regions of Madhesh Province, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while the weather in the remaining Terai regions will be mostly clear.

According to the department, on Monday, there is a possibility of deteriorating weather with moderate rain and snowfall with thunderstorms in a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. Such weather activities may also occur in one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly regions.  

Meanwhile, in some places in the Terai regions of Madhesh Province, along with Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, the temperature is expected to rise, leading to hot days.
