Man Arrested for Daytime Burglary in Pokhara

Kaski. A person has been arrested while committing theft in broad daylight in Majhko Danda of Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 26. Police have taken into custody Rajan Tamang, 36, of Namobuddha Municipality Ward No. 11, Kavrepalanchok, who was stealing from the house of local Dhan Bahadur Khadka, taking advantage of the absence of anyone at home.

Last Friday at around 11:30 AM, Khadka's house was empty. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Tamang broke the locks of the main door and inner rooms of the house. Local residents noticed Tamang breaking open the drawer inside the room and stealing valuables. As soon as the locals informed the police, Tamang tried to flee from there.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team from the Area Police Office, Shisuwa, under the District Police Office, Kaski, was immediately mobilized to the scene. Police successfully apprehended Tamang, who was fleeing, along with iron tools used for breaking locks.

According to Kaski's Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan, legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested Tamang. He has been presented before the Kaski District Court and remanded in custody for 10 days for investigation into the offense of theft and robbery.
