Weather Forecast: Western Low-Pressure Line and Local Winds Affecting Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere's western low-pressure line and the local wind's partial influence are present in Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated.

Due to this influence, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with other remaining Himalayan and hilly regions, are experiencing generally cloudy skies, while the Terai regions are partly cloudy.  

This afternoon, Koshi Province and other Himalayan regions of the country will generally be cloudy, Madhesh Province and other hilly regions will be partly cloudy, and the remaining Terai regions will be mostly clear. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rainfall in some places in Koshi Province and a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and one or two places in Madhesh Province and other remaining hilly regions. There is a possibility of hot days in some places in the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.  

Tonight, Koshi Province and other Himalayan regions of the country will generally be cloudy, Madhesh Province and other hilly regions will be partly cloudy.  There is a possibility of light rainfall with thunderstorms in a few places in Koshi Province, and one or two places in Madhesh Province, and the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the Department has stated.
