Pokhara Buspark Area Encroachments Removed by Locals

Pokhara. Houses and other physical structures built by encroaching on the buspark area in Pokhara Metropolitan City have started to be removed by locals voluntarily. The deadline for the 15-day notice given by the Metropolitan City to remove structures in that area is ending on the 24th, and locals have started removing their structures themselves. In order to support the plan to build a systematic buspark, local landowners are demolishing houses and sheds and moving their belongings to safe places. Local residents who received land titles for Rs 150,000 in the past have said that they should cooperate with the metropolis for development and that it is also their responsibility to create a conducive environment for buspark construction. Locals have taken positive initiative by removing structures within the time specified by the metropolis's notice and moving forward with the buspark construction work.
