Rajan Rai Questions Speaker's Ability to Preside Over Parliament

Kathmandu. CPN-UML MP Rajendra Rai has said that Speaker DP Aryal will not be able to run the parliament for five years. MP Rai's behavior in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday indicated that the Speaker would not be able to run the parliament for five years.

'Your behavior shows you should not run the parliament for five years, I have understood, I have seen your feet', he said, 'Do you have to listen to what I am saying or not?'

Earlier, Speaker Aryal had given time to Rai. After getting time from the Speaker, Rai started by holding the microphone and asking, 'Speaker, do you listen or not?', but the Speaker, stating that he had spoken against conduct, did not give time to Rai and gave time to another MP, Parshuram Tamang. Tamang also did not want to speak.

After that, CPN-UML MPs stood up and protested. The Speaker Aryal again gave Rai time, saying that Rai had accepted his mistake, but as soon as CPN-UML MP Rai started speaking, the Speaker again warned him and adjourned the meeting.
