Government Ministry Launches Wheelchair Service for Accessibility

Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Social Security has launched wheelchair service from today to ensure the ease and access of service recipients coming to the ministry.

Targeting individuals with physical mobility difficulties, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and other service recipients as needed, wheelchair service has been made available throughout the ministry premises.

This service, started with the objective of providing a comfortable, safe, and respectful environment for citizens coming to the ministry for service, is expected to make public service delivery more accessible, inclusive, and citizen-friendly.

Now, service recipients coming to the ministry premises will be able to easily complete their work using wheelchairs as needed. This arrangement is believed to provide significant support in the service access of persons with disabilities and citizens with physical difficulties.

In line with the Government of Nepal's commitment to inclusive governance, equal access, and citizen-friendly service delivery, the ministry has taken this initiative. The ministry has stated that it will continue to conduct further improvement programs in the coming days, keeping the needs and convenience of service recipients at the center.
