Royal Challengers Bengaluru Wins Second Consecutive IPL Title

Ahmedabad. Royal Challengers Bengaluru has named the Indian Premier League (IPL) title for the second consecutive season. In the final clash played in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets to win the trophy.

Upon becoming champions, Bengaluru received the trophy along with a prize money of 20 crore Indian Rupees. Gujarat Titans, which settled for the runner-up, received 12 crore 50 lakh Rupees.

In the individual awards for this season, 15-year-old young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals dominated completely. He won the Orange Cap by scoring the most 776 runs this season.

In bowling, Kagiso Rabada of Gujarat Titans took 29 wickets to claim the Purple Cap. Suryavanshi, who performed excellently, won a total of five awards including the Orange Cap, 'Most Valuable Player', 'Emerging Player', and 'Super Striker of the Season'. Ten lakh rupees were allocated for each category.
