Sashastra Prahari Rescues 20 Stranded by Floods in Kanchanpur

Mahendranagar. A team of Sashastra Prahari Bal Nepal has safely rescued 20 people stranded in the floods in the Doda River and Bahun Khola in Punarbas, Kanchanpur.< p>

A team from Sashastra Prahari Bal Nepal BOP Bichphanta rescued five local women who had gone to the nearby forest to pick fiddlehead ferns after the water level in the Doda River in Sitabasti, Punarbas Municipality-9, suddenly increased.< p>

The rescue was carried out by a team trained in disaster management led by Sashastra Prahari Nayab Nirikshak Shantabahadur Sunar, informed Sashastra Prahari Bal No. 7 Baidyanath Bahini Attariya.< p>

In Bahun Khola, located in Hariyali Tole, Punarbas Municipality-9, 15 women who had gone to collect firewood and fodder were safely rescued after the water level rose, informed Sashastra Prahari Bal No. 7 Baidyanath's Bahiniapati Sashastra Prahari Nayab Mahanirikkhak Digvijay Subedi. He stated that a team trained in disaster management from Sashastra Prahari, along with Nepal Police, local representatives, and locals, assisted in the rescue.< p>

With the onset of the monsoon, the Sashastra Prahari Bal Baidyanath Bahini Headquarters has called on the general public to remain alert due to the risk of sudden floods in the Tarai rivers caused by rainfall in the hilly regions.< p>
