Two Chinese Nationals Arrested in Nawalparasi for Illegally Trading on Tourist Visas

Nawalparasi. Police have taken under control two Chinese nationals who were illegally trading by misusing tourist visas in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

They were arrested while selling and distributing materials without permission and bills/invoices in the market located in Daldale, Ward No. 13 of Devchuli Municipality in the district.

A special police team dispatched from the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) found them with the goods last Friday. Those arrested are 58-year-old Chan Jinchian and 60-year-old Yi Lihua.

Police have stated that they were engaged in business activities against the prevailing law after entering Nepal on a tourist visa. They were selling and distributing 43 jackets that looked like leather without bills/invoices in the Daldale area.

After the police team searched, they seized the jackets and took them under control as no official documents for the goods were found.

According to Anil Pandit, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, both arrested Chinese citizens have been sent to the Department of Immigration for further investigation and necessary legal action.

Police have stated that they will be prosecuted according to immigration law for violating the legal provision that prohibits doing commercial work without permission while coming on a tourist visa.
