1,773 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 644,502 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 773 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 644,502 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 100 people for driving under the influence of alcohol, 118 for illegal 'ride sharing', 136 for signal violations, and 237 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 82 for not following 'lane' discipline, 89 for honking in prohibited areas, 120 for parking vehicles on the roadside, 91 for driving on one-way streets, and 800 for not following other traffic rules.
