Weather Forecast: Clouds, Rain, and Wind Expected Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of the upper atmospheric western low-pressure line, local winds, and a low-pressure line extending from west to east near Nepal.

Due to this influence, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing complete cloud cover, while Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces have general cloudiness in their hilly and mountainous regions. The remaining Terai regions have partial cloud cover. Moderate rainfall is occurring in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, there will be general cloudiness across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the Terai regions of Madhesh Province, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is also a possibility of dust storms in some places in the Terai and hilly regions of the country.

Tonight, Sudurpaschim Province and the mountainous and hilly regions of the country will generally be cloudy. The remaining areas will have partial cloudiness. There is a possibility of light rainfall in a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces.
