Government Closes Embassies in Denmark, Brazil, South Africa

Kathmandu. The government has decided to close Nepali embassies in three different countries. 

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, while reading out the budget statement for the upcoming fiscal year in a joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on Friday, announced the closure of Nepali embassies in Denmark, Brazil, and South Africa, keeping in mind the changing economic diplomacy. 

He also informed that the consulates general in Chengdu, China, and San Francisco, USA, as well as the embassy branch in Visakhapatnam, India, have also been closed.
