Government Presents Budget of NPR 2124.34 Billion for Fiscal Year 2083/84

Kathmandu. The government has unveiled a budget of NPR 21 kharba 24 arab 34 crore for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle provided information about the budget size in a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Friday.

Of this, NPR 12 kharba 70 arab 58 crore, or 59.8 percent, has been allocated for current expenditure, NPR 4 kharba 31 arab 10 crore, or 20.3 percent, for capital expenditure, and NPR 4 kharba 22 arab 24 crore, or 19.9 percent, for financial व्यवस्थापन.

Sources to cover the budget include NPR 14 kharba 5 arab 31 crore from revenue and NPR 61 arab 74 crore from foreign grants. NPR 2 kharba 47 arab will be raised from foreign loans. NPR 4 kharba 19 arab will be covered by internal loans.

In the current fiscal year, the government had allocated NPR 19 kharba 64 arab 11 crore. This year's budget is 25 percent higher compared to the estimated expenditure for the current year.
