Government Pledges Effort to List Tilaurakot as World Heritage Site

Butwal. The government has announced that it will make efforts to list Tilaurakot in Kapilvastu as a World Heritage Site.

Presenting the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure (budget) for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 in the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle stated that necessary efforts will be made to include Tilaurakot in the World Heritage List.

The budget statement mentions that the government is committed to the conservation, promotion, and establishment of international recognition for Tilaurakot, which holds historical and archaeological significance.
