Government Allocates NPR 1.53 Billion for Tribhuvan International Airport Upgrade

Kathmandu. The government has allocated NPR 1.53 billion for the upgrade of Tribhuvan International Airport. Minister of Finance Dr. Swarnim Wagle provided this information while presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 in parliament. He stated that the modality for the construction of Nijgadh International Airport would be prepared within six months. He also mentioned that private sector collaboration would be sought for the operation of Gautam Buddha and Pokhara Regional International Airports. The operation of night services at Bharatpur Airport was also announced.
