Government Significantly Cuts Agriculture Budget for Upcoming Fiscal Year

Kathmandu. The government has made a significant cut in the budget for the agriculture and livestock sector for the upcoming fiscal year.

While the current fiscal year 2082/83 saw a budget of 57.48 billion, the upcoming fiscal year has a budget of only 46.92 billion.

After Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle allocated the highest budget ever for chemical fertilizers in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084, the total budget for the agriculture and livestock sector has decreased by 10.5 billion.
