Government Announces Road and Bridge Construction Goals

Kathmandu. The government has announced that it will pave 1,000 kilometers of road within the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084. Similarly, it has announced that 275 road bridges will also be completed within one year.

Through the budget of the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has stated that the East-West Highway will be expanded to 4 lanes within 5 years. Finance Minister Wagle also mentioned in the budget statement that the expansion of the Kamala-Kanchanpur and Butwal-Narayangadh roads will be completed within the upcoming fiscal year.
