Government to Allocate Minimum 1% of Capital Expenditure to Innovation

Kathmandu. The government has decided to spend at least one percent of its capital expenditure in the field of innovation. 

This provision has been made by Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle through the budget statement for the fiscal year 2083/84 in the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Friday.

Member of Parliament Mahabir Pun had been continuously demanding such budget allocation. As per his demand, the government had also created the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
