Finance Minister Proposes New Laws for Economic Transparency and Investment Security

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, through the annual budget for the fiscal year 2083/084 presented in the Federal Parliament, has proposed various new legal arrangements for economic transparency and investment security. The government has announced the creation of a new law related to credit recovery to reduce risks in business transactions and maintain financial discipline in the market.

 In addition, a law related to intellectual property protection will be made to encourage creativity and innovation and protect domestic production.

During the budget speech, Finance Minister Wagle also unveiled a policy to attract non-resident Nepalis to the country's capital market, according to which the necessary legal basis will be created to involve NRAs directly in the securities market.
