Two Apprehended for Operating Stolen Scooter with Altered License Plate

Kathmandu. Traffic police have taken two individuals into custody for operating a scooter with its original number plate changed, which was reported stolen from Baluwakhani, Kathmandu.

A red Dio scooter with the number plate Ba 92 Pa 2765 had gone missing from the Baluwakhani road section in Budhanilkantha Municipality Ward No. 10, Kathmandu. After the vehicle went missing, the owner submitted an application with a request to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Division for a search. Based on that application, traffic police began the search.

During the search, the scooter was found on Thursday afternoon on the Futung road section in Tarkeshwor Municipality Ward No. 8, Kathmandu. Investigations revealed that the thieves had changed the scooter's original number to Ba 92 Pa 9872 and were operating it with the altered plate, according to traffic police. Police have taken both individuals involved in the scooter theft into custody. 

The two apprehended individuals have been sent to Boudha Police Circle for further investigation and necessary legal action.
