Department of Foreign Employment Warns Against Impersonators

Kathmandu. The Department of Foreign Employment has urged all stakeholders to be aware of individuals who threaten over the phone and conduct unauthorized inspections in the name of the department. 

This notice has been issued in the context of the department regularly monitoring foreign employment-related organizations to control fraud in the name of foreign employment.

The department published a notice on Friday clarifying that employees dispatched for regular monitoring are sent with an official letter from the department. It is arranged for employees to show their identity cards when going for inspection.

According to the department, if anyone other than an official employee is found to be inspecting without an official letter, if unauthorized persons are found to be involved in the inspection, or if there is suspicion of threats over the phone in the name of the department, they are requested to contact the department immediately. If such activities are observed, the department's senior officials can be contacted directly to provide information.
