Government Directed to Start Education for Children in Holding Centers

Kathmandu. The House of Representatives, State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has directed the government to immediately start the education of children in the holding centers and provide information to the committee within a week.

In a letter signed by Committee Chairman Hari Dhakal, it is mentioned that the committee has also directed to identify the chronically ill in the holding centers and ensure their regular treatment and provide information about the progress of the work.

The directive states that arrangements should be made for the landless people staying in the holding centers who are engaged in various employments to stay in a convenient holding center so that they can continue their employment, and to inform the committee about this. The committee has asked to identify the actual landless people in the holding centers and manage them properly and provide information to the committee within seven days.

The committee has directed the three tiers of government to make pre-preparations for disaster risk reduction. The committee has also directed the concerned government bodies to insure the employees and security personnel who are deployed at risk during disasters.
