DGP Om Prasad Adhikari and Traffic Chief Navaraj Adhikari Honored for Outstanding Performance

Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari's Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Om Prasad Adhikari has been honored for his significant contribution to making the overall peace and security of the Kathmandu Valley effective. The Police Headquarters has specially honored and awarded him based on an evaluation of his excellent performance, the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari informed. It is said that he has increased his activeness particularly in controlling theft, robbery, drug trafficking, activities that disturb public peace, and various criminal incidents. Similarly, the chief of the Valley Traffic Police Office, Navaraj Adhikari, has also been honored. It is informed that Traffic Police Chief Adhikari has played a significant role in improving traffic management in the valley since taking charge as the chief of the Valley Traffic Police. Under his leadership, the campaign to enforce strict action against traffic rule violators and maintain road discipline has become effective. It is informed that he has made important initiatives to further systematize traffic management, especially by reducing traffic jams, controlling vehicle accidents, implementing lane discipline, and using modern technology. It is said that with the increased activeness of the traffic police in the Kathmandu Valley in recent times, awareness among vehicle drivers regarding traffic rules has also increased. The traffic police have been conducting various awareness campaigns to reduce overall disorder, including traffic jams and haphazard parking, on the roads. The Police Headquarters has informed that it provides honors and awards from time to time with the objective of encouraging police officers who perform excellently. It is believed that this will increase further enthusiasm and sense of responsibility within the police organization.
