Fugitive Arrested After Seven Years in Chitwan

Chitwan. A fugitive absconding for seven years has been arrested. The District Police Office Chitwan arrested him from Feta Rural Municipality-1 in Bara. According to office information officer Manish Shrestha, the arrested person is Panchdev Mahara, 30, of Feta Rural Municipality-4 in Bara. According to him, on Chaitra 23, 2076 BS, Sakhichan Mahara, 46, of Feta Rural Municipality-3, was found dead inside a room in a temporary house where laborers lived within the compound of Nepal Gas Industry Gandaki located in Khairahani Municipality-9. He was arrested by a joint police team deployed from the Area Police Office Ratnanagar and the Area Police Office Khairahani on suspicion of involvement in the incident. The arrested Mahara has been taken into custody by the District Court for further investigation.
