Federation of Commerce and Industry Appoints Six Central Executive Committee Members

Kathmandu. The new working committee of the Federation of Nepal Industry and Commerce has nominated six members to the central executive committee. Six members were nominated to the central executive committee meeting held on Friday morning at the proposal of Chairman Anjan Shrestha. 

Of which, 3 from District Municipality, 2 from Commodity and 1 from Associate. They are Manishlal Pradhan (Lalitpur), Naveen Rizal (Morang), Gokarna Karki (Pokhara) nominated from the district municipality side.  

Similarly, Shiv Prasad Ghimire from Katha Producers Association and Darshana Shrestha from Federation of Women Entrepreneurs have been nominated from the commodity side. Sahara Joshi has been nominated as a central member from the associate side.  

According to the Federation's statute, the chairman can nominate 7 people, including 2 women, to the central executive committee. 1 person is yet to be nominated.  

Similarly, elections are being held today to select the senior vice-president. Although there are 5 aspirants for the senior vice-president, the competition will be among only 3 in the end.  

Among them, Surkrishna Vaidya, Hemraj Dhakal and Ramchandra Sanghai will compete for the senior vice-president. Kishore Pradhan and Bharatraj Acharya, who were in discussion to run for senior vice-president, will back down.  

Similarly, although three people have been discussed for the treasurer, only Ambikaprasad Poudel has announced his candidacy so far. Manishlal Pradhan also wants to become the treasurer. He has been nominated as a central member of the Federation by the working committee.
